Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What type of exam is required to apply for DHA license for dentists?

A: The applicant must pass one assessment for the position — either a Computer Based Testing (CBT) / Prometric assessment or, in some cases, an oral assessment.

Q2: How many times can I attempt the DHA assessment?

A: You may re-apply immediately after the result is published; there is no waiting period for retaking the assessment.

Q3: What happens if I fail three attempts?

A: If a professional fails three assessments, they must either:

obtain a new qualification that allows applying to a different title;

or wait two (2) years before reapplying, assuming no gap in practice and no intervening changes.

Q4: Is the exam result (score) shared with the applicant?

A: No, DHA does not share your detailed score. The outcome will be published as “Pass” or “Fail” in your Sheryan dashboard.

Q5: What documents do I need on the day of assessment?

A: For Prometric (CBT) examinations: original passport must be presented.

For Oral assessments (if required): follow the instructions given in your application (which may include identity proofs, credentials, etc.).

Q6: When are results announced / how long does it take?

A: For Prometric assessments, the result (Pass/Fail) is published within 5 working days after the exam.

For oral assessments, the result is also communicated through the respective “Schedule Oral Assessment” application in your Sheryan account.
